Preventative Maintenance
Preventative maintenance operates like a normal checkup for your vehicle. It may catch problems before requiring significant repair work. Doing preventative maintenance will extend the life of your vehicle and keep it performing optimally for many years ahead.
Generally, preventative maintenance is best every 48,000 kilometers until your vehicle reaches 120,000 total kilometers driven and then once per year thereafter.
Preventative maintenance may include the following measures:
- Engine fluids check and replacement/flush: oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, transmission fluid, antifreeze, coolant, etc.
- Air filter, oil filter, gas filter change
- Tire balancing and rotation
- Wheel alignment
- Headlight, taillight, turn signal, and other light check
- Wiper blades inspection
- Tires wear and air pressure inspection
- Brake pad inspection
- Belts & hose inspection
- Leak check
- Battery test
- Vent, A/C, & heating check
- Engine diagnostics
